Overall
Interrelationship of the Four Elements:
These four aspects—the Resurrection for the
Church, the Firstborn Son of God, the many sons of God, and the life-giving
Spirit—are products of the all-inclusive death of the Triune God, and they have
a close interrelationship:
1. Organic Relationship: Christ
as the Firstborn Son of God is the Head, the many sons of God are the Body,
together constituting the church; while the life-giving Spirit is the reality
and executor of all these.
2. Life Relationship: The
life-giving Spirit imparts the life of Christ, the Firstborn Son, to the many
sons of God, enabling the many sons to live out the life of the Firstborn and
express the Triune God in the church.
3. Economical
Relationship: These four aspects together accomplish God's eternal
economy—to work Himself in Christ into man, making man the same as Him in life
and nature but not in Godhead, thereby obtaining His corporate expression.
4. Process Relationship: Christ,
through death and resurrection, became God's Firstborn Son, enabling believers
to become God's many sons; simultaneously, He became the life-giving Spirit,
dwelling in believers and constituting them as the church.
Conclusion
The four elements generated by the
all-inclusive death of the Triune God—the Resurrection for the Church, the
Firstborn Son of God, the many sons of God, and the life-giving Spirit—reveal
the profound mystery of God's eternal plan and the implementation of His divine
economy.
These elements demonstrate how the Triune
God has undergone a process from eternity to eternity—from divinity into
humanity, through death and resurrection, becoming the compound Spirit dwelling
in believers, and obtaining His corporate expression in the church.
Christ in resurrection became the Firstborn
Son of God, pioneering a new realm of life.
Believers through Christ's resurrection are
regenerated to become the many sons of God, partaking of God's life and nature.
The life-giving Spirit is the processed
Triune God, bearing all the elements of Christ's death and resurrection.
The Church as the expression of all these is
the testimony of the mingling of the Triune God with man.
Together, these four elements unveil the complete
journey of the Triune God—from Godhead into humanity, through death and
resurrection, becoming the compound Spirit to dwell in believers, and gaining
His corporate expression in the church.
