The Basic Understanding of Reconciliation Between Man and God
Romans 5:10 For if, while we
were enemies, we were reconciled to God through
the death of his Son, how much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be
saved in his life!
Colossians 1:20 And through
him he reconciled all things to himself, both on earth and in heaven, by making
peace through his blood on the cross.
2 Corinthians 5:18-20 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ…and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Therefore we are ambassadors to Christ, as if God were appealing to you through us; we implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Meaning |
Reconciliation
is the bringing back of man from a condition of alienation and enmity with
God into harmony, intimacy, and fellowship with Him. It is not merely
forgiveness of sins, but the restoration of the life-union between God and
man. |
|
Cause |
Through Adam’s
fall, sin entered humanity, causing separation from God and making man's mind
hostile toward Him (Romans 5:10; Colossians 1:21). Man’s natural
life opposes God and therefore requires reconciliation. |
|
Illustration |
Like the
prodigal son returning to the father’s house (Luke 15), or a broken bridge
restored through the cross. |
|
Explanation |
Reconciliation
is God’s initiated action of redemption. Through Christ’s death and blood on
the cross, sin and separation were removed so man could return to God (Colossians 1:20). |
|
Effect |
Brings peace,
forgiveness, fellowship, life supply, intimacy, and rest in God (Romans 5:1). |
|
Purpose |
Not only to
free man from condemnation, but to bring him into God’s economy and build him
into the Body of Christ. |
|
Examples |
The prodigal
son, Peter’s restoration, Paul’s salvation, Zacchaeus. |
|
Application |
Daily confess
sins, turn to the spirit, receive the cleansing of Christ’s blood, and
restore sweet fellowship with God. |
|
Burden |
Not only to be
reconciled personally, but to carry out the ministry of reconciliation and
bring others back to God (2 Corinthians 5:18-20). |
|
Speaking Guidance |
Present
reconciliation from three angles: God seeking man, the cross removing enmity,
and entering the Father’s presence. |
|
Conclusion |
Reconciliation
is the central process of God’s salvation, bringing fallen man back to the
Father and into the Body life. |

*Spiritual
Summary (Prophetic Declaration)
Reconciliation is
not God reluctantly forgiving man; it is God, through Christ’s cross, removing
every barrier and bringing us back to the Father, so that in one Spirit we may
enjoy Him, live in Him, and be built together in one Body.
*One-Sentence
Conclusion
The ultimate goal
of reconciliation is not merely to deliver man from condemnation, but to bring
him into the Father, into the Spirit, into the building up of the Body, and
into the fulfillment of God’s eternal economy.
