“The Lord’s Hidden Appearing vs. The Lord’s Public Appearing vs. The
Lord’s Indwelling”
John 14:21 “The one who has my
commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me. And the one who loves me
will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
John 14:23 Jesus answered, “If
anyone loves me, he will keep my words, and my Father will love him, and we
will come to him and make our home with him.”
Matthew 24:30 “Then the sign
of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and all the nations of the earth will
mourn. They will see the Son of Man coming with power and great glory on the
clouds of heaven.”
John 14:16 “I will ask the
Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will be with you forever,
John 14:17 the Spirit of
reality, whom the world cannot accept, because it neither sees him nor
knows him. But you know him, because he dwells with
you and will be in you.”
Revelation 1:7 Behold, he will come in the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the tribes of the earth will beat their breasts and weep for him. Yes, Amen.

Himself to those who love Him.
The Lord’s public appearing means that Christ will openly manifest Himself in
glory to the whole universe.
Indwelling is the beginning of life.
Hidden appearing is the deepening of love and fellowship.
Public appearing is the consummation in glory.
Many believers know the doctrine of Christ’s indwelling,
yet few deeply experience His hidden appearing.
Those who continually experience the Lord’s hidden appearing are gradually

Summary
The Lord’s
indwelling brings Christ into man;
the Lord’s hidden appearing unveils Christ to those who love Him;
the Lord’s public appearing reveals Christ in glory to the entire universe.
*Ultimate
Conclusion
God’s eternal intention is not merely that believers be saved, but that:
1.
Christ first dwell within them;
2.
Then secretly appear to them in love and fellowship;
3.
Finally be openly manifested in glory through them.
Indwelling is the beginning of life;
hidden appearing is maturity in love;
public appearing is consummation in glory.
When believers daily live in the indwelling Christ and
continually love and seek Him,
the indwelling Christ becomes the hidden appearing Christ,
and eventually the hidden appearing Christ becomes the publicly manifested
Christ in glory.
