Conditions to Hear What the Spirit Says

Revelation 2:7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give him fruit from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Revelation 2:11 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, he will never suffer the second death.

Revelation 2:17 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who overcomes, I will give him the hidden manna and a white stone on which a new name is written, which no one will recognize except the one who receives it.

 Conditions to Hear What the Spirit Says

Meaning

To hear the Spirit is an inward, opened hearing to perceive God’s economy.

Reason

Although the Spirit speaks to all the churches, not all believers follow what they hear; thus the call for overcomers.

The ear must be opened, circumcised, cleansed by blood, and anointed by the Spirit.

Explanation

Spiritual seeing depends on spiritual hearing; dull ears result in blindness to God’s move.

Way

Pray for opened ears; accept circumcision to deal with rebellion; be cleansed by the blood; be anointed by the Spirit; stand in the proper position in the churches.

Result

Produces hearing ears produces overcomers brings believers into God’s economy.

That believers may not only hear but also follow what the Spirit speaks.
