Relationship |
Ashes are the
beginning of God's building materials. |
The New
Jerusalem is the consummation of those transformed "ashes." |
Ashes are the
seed; the city is the harvest. |
|
Example (Christ) |
Christ humbled
Himself unto death and was completely "consumed" as the burnt offering. |
In resurrection
He became the cornerstone and the life-giving Spirit for God's building. |
Christ is both
the pattern and the source. |
|
Example (Paul) |
"I have
been crucified with Christ." (Gal. 2:20) |
"It is
Christ who lives in me," producing and building the churches. |
Paul's life
illustrates this entire process. |
|
Example (Peter) |
His natural
confidence was broken and burned away. |
He became a
living stone built into God's spiritual house. |
Burned ashes
become living stones. |
|
Example (Abraham) |

Producing and building the new creation. |
God first tears
down, then builds up. |
|
God's Burden |
To gain people

To obtain the
New Jerusalem as His eternal expression. |
God is not seeking ashes, but a built city. |
|
Ministry Burden |
Accept the
Lord's burning without preserving natural strength or ability. |
Live in continual
transformation for God's building. |
Building is
more important than mere work. |
|
Speaking (Prophesying) Direction |
Testify how the
cross burns away the natural life. |
Declare how
resurrection transforms ashes into precious stones. |
Emphasize that ashes are the beginning of resurrection. |
|
One-Sentence Summary |
"Lord, burn away
everything natural until nothing remains but You." |
"Lord, transform these ashes into precious stones
for Your eternal building." |
"The cross turns man into ashes; resurrection
turns ashes into precious stones; God builds them into the New
Jerusalem." |
|
Conclusion |
Being burned is
not
a loss but an entrance into resurrection. Ashes are not
the end but the beginning of God's building work. |
The New
Jerusalem is not the achievement of the natural man but the
consummation of all those who have passed through the cross, resurrection, transformation, and building. |
The cross is the way, resurrection is the power,
transformation is the process, building is the goal, and the New Jerusalem is the eternal
consummation. |

Conclusion
The spiritual significance of being burned to ashes is not destruction but
preparation. God does not burn His people merely to reduce them to nothing; rather, He burns away everything of the
old creation so that resurrection life may have a free
way to transform them.
The ashes
signify the complete termination of the natural man through the
cross. Being placed on the east side of
the altar signifies that death is
followed by resurrection. In resurrection, those very ashes are transformed
into gold, pearls, and precious stones—the precious materials for God's eternal building.
Therefore, God's work follows a divine sequence:
Consecration → Burning →
Ashes → Resurrection → Transformation → Building →
The New Jerusalem.
Ultimately, the New
Jerusalem is not the product of human effort or spiritual attainment. It is the consummation of all those who have allowed
themselves to be consumed by the cross, renewed in resurrection, transformed by
the Spirit, and built together into God's
eternal dwelling place and corporate expression.
The cross is the
way; resurrection is the power; transformation is the process; building is the
goal; and the New Jerusalem is
the eternal consummation of God's economy.
