The Building Up of the Body of Christ vs. the Manifestation of God
1 Timothy 3:16 And great is
the mystery of godliness, which is universally acknowledged: He appeared in the
flesh, was justified in the Spirit, was seen by angels, was proclaimed in all
nations, was believed among the world, and was taken up in glory.
Ephesians 2:20 Built on the
foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the
cornerstone;
Ephesians 2:21 In him the
whole building, joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
Ephesians 2:22 and in him you
too are being built up together to become God’s dwelling place in the Spirit.
Ephesians 4:16 From him the whole body, joined together and united by every richly supplied joint and by every part having its measured function, grows up to build itself up in love.

One-Sentence
Prophesying Summary
"God became man that man
might become God-men in life and nature;
through growth and building into the Body of
Christ, God gains His corporate manifestation to fulfill His eternal economy."
Conclusion
The building up of the Body of Christ and
the manifestation of God are not two separate matters but two aspects of one divine reality. The building is the
inward process, and the manifestation is the
outward expression. As the God-men grow, are transformed, coordinated,
and built together, they become the Body of Christ, through which God is corporately manifested.
Ultimate
Conclusion
The building up
of the Body of Christ is the divine means, and the manifestation of God is the divine goal. The
consummation of both is the New Jerusalem, the eternal mingling of God and man,
expressing the Triune God in glory for eternity.
