John 12:24 Very truly I tell
you, unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and
dies, it remains only a single kernel; but if it dies, it produces many seeds.
Romans 8:29 For God also
predestined those he foretold to be conformed to the image of the Son, that he
might be the firstborn among many brothers.
Galatians 2:20 I have been
crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I
now live in the flesh, I live in faith with the Son of God, who loved me and
gave himself for me.
Ephesians 4:16 In him the
whole body, joined together and united by each abundant joint and by each part
according to its measure and function, grows so that it may build itself up in
love.
Colossians 3:10 And clothed itself with the new self, being renewed in the image of the Creator, that is, perfect in knowledge;

Summary |
The God-man
living of the Lord Jesus in the Four Gospels is not merely a moral example but the
divine prototype in God's eternal economy. Through His death and resurrection, Christ became the life-giving Spirit to
impart Himself into His believers. As they live by the mingled spirit
according to "the reality which is in Jesus," they are transformed
into His image and become His mass
reproduction. Individually they live the God-man life; corporately they
become the one new man, expressing Christ in the Body. Thus, the life
revealed in the Gospels continues in the church and reaches its ultimate consummation in the New Jerusalem as the eternal
corporate expression of the processed and consummated Triune God. |
