Mark 11:12-14,20 "The

hungry. Seeing in the distance a fig tree in leaf, he went to find out
if it had any fruit... Then he said to the tree, 'May no one ever eat fruit from
you again.'... In the morning, as they went along, they saw the fig tree
withered from the roots." 1 Peter 5:5 "In the
same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to
your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves
with humility toward one another, because, 'God
opposes the proud but shows favor to the
humble.'" Genesis 18:11-12
"Abraham and Sarah were already very old, and Sarah
was past the age of childbearing. So Sarah laughed to herself as she
thought, 'After I am worn out and my lord is old,
will I now have this pleasure?'" |
Numbers 17:5 "The staff belonging to the man I choose will sprout,
and I will rid myself of this constant grumbling against you by the
Israelites." Numbers 17:10 "The
Lord said to Moses, 'Put back Aaron's staff in front
of the ark of the covenant law, to be kept as a sign to the
rebellious. This will put an end to their
grumbling against me, so that they will not die.'" Hebrews 9:4 "which

"So will it be with the resurrection of the
dead. The body that is sown is perishable, it

Additional Explanations:
- Resurrection
is the basis of God's selection and the eternal principle of service (Num 17:5,10).
- Experiencing
resurrection can make one humble, recognizing that everything comes from
God (2 Cor 3:5, 1 Pet 5:5).
- Natural ability must be subdued for the power of resurrection to be manifested
(Gen 18:11-12, 21:1-3).
- One
must recognize their own inability to
truly experience God's power (Matt 19:26, Mark 10:27, Luke 18:27).
- Being
a Christian and an overcomer both require
reliance on the Holy Spirit dwelling within us (2 Cor 1:8-9, 4:7).
