The Model of the Lord Jesus’ God-man Living vs. The Pattern of the Lord Jesus’ Shepherding in His Ministry

The Model of the Lord Jesus’ God-man Living vs. The Pattern of the Lord Jesus’ Shepherding in His Ministry

John 1:14 The Word became flesh and pitched his tabernacle among us, full of grace and reality. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father.

John 10:11 I am the Good Shepherd. The Good Shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

John 13:20 May the God of peace, our Lord Jesus, the Great Shepherd who leads the flock by the blood of the eternal covenant, come up from the dead,

1 Peter 2:21 For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps;

1 Peter 2:23 When he was insulted, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he did not threaten, but entrusted everything to the righteous judge.

1 Peter 2:24 He himself bore our sins on the tree and in his body, that we might die to sin and live to righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.

1 Peter 2:25 You were like sheep who went astray, but now you have returned to the shepherd and overseer of your souls.

Ultimate Conclusion

The divine pathway of God's economy is:

The First God-man God-man Living Corporate God-men Reality of the Body of Christ Shepherding God's Flock Building Up the Body of Christ Corporate Zion The Greatest Revival → The Lord's Return The New Jerusalem.

The Lord Jesus left us two supreme patterns:

1.      A God-man living as the model for our living.

2.      A shepherding ministry as the pattern for our service.

The God-man living is the foundation of shepherding, and shepherding is the issue of the God-man living. The former produces the reality of the Body; the latter accomplishes the building up of the Body. Together they bring forth Zion, prepare the Bride, and hasten the Lord's return.
